“Mountain Home’s FIRST Robotics Team, the Baxter Bomb Squad, just returned from Indianapolis, IN where they competed with the 65 best high school robotics teams in the world at the Indiana Robotics Invitational.  They performed well in this extremely competitive event and won the IRI Finalist Award.   After completing the qualifications matches in the 12th seed position, they partnered with teams from Idaho, Ohio, and Missouri for the double-elimination tournament.  Their alliance advanced through the tournament where they were ultimately defeated in the final match by the tournament champions from Canada, Michigan, and Hawaii.

The team, sponsored by Baxter Healthcare, Mountain Home Public Schools, and the Science and Technology Group, Inc., will be competing in November in Kansas City, MO.”

St. Louis For the Win

May 16th, 2011

Our team placed 6th in 88 of our division. Doing so put us in the quarter finals with an alliance of FIRST team 27 - Team Rush, and FIRST team 842 Falcon Robotics who were featured on CNN. The story can be found here. Although we failed to go on to the Einstein division, our team succeeded in learning the values that FIRST strives on. For our new students it was an experience that taught them the true spirit of the game: Gracious Professionalism, and how Coopetition benefits everyone. The teams that did end up winning the world championship are FIRST teams 111, 254, and 973. Congradulations to all teams that participated! As for our team, we plan to participate in off-season events at the Indiana Robotics Invitational and The Cow Town Throwdown.
