After several fixes, we won our fourth match. Our record is 2-1-1, but we have a lot of qualification matches left.
Penalty free match, but we ended in a tie. We are now 2-1-2.
Lost our last match of the day, so our record drops to 3-2-2. Currently 16th place. 3 more matches tomorrow before the ellimination rounds begin.
First match on Saturday was close. We scored all the points for our alliance and only lost by one.
We won our 2nd match this morning. One more before picking alliances for the elimination rounds.
Won our final match. Waiting on alliance selections.
We were picked by the #2 seed. We will start the quarterfinal matches shortly.
Made it through the quarterfinals and now on to the semis!
We won our semifinal matches and are in the Finals!!
2nd place! Really proud of the kids today. They did everything they could to win, but it just wasn’t to be. We go to Chicago in two weeks.
The 2010 game is called “Breakaway” and is played on the “FIELD.” Two alliances, one red and one blue, composed of three FIRST Robotics Competition (FRC) teams each, compete in each match. The object of the game is to attain a higher score than your opponent by shooting balls into a goal, climbing on the alliance tower or platform, or by lifting an alliance robot off the playing surface.
